Try temporarily replacing the CDROM drive in the server with another one
from a known working machine. Some CDROM drives just don't work with
some disks. If that doesn't work, pull the hard drive from the server
and install sentinix on it from another server or workstation with
similiar hardware, then put the hard drive back in the server.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If there is another way
to install besides using the ISO that would be great as well.

1. check the manage of the IDE's in the BIOS, if you don't see
something like " IDE ..(anything)..
then try with restore to defaults or load best performance settings
and finish with the other conf stuff then save settings and exit and
look that happens.
2. if your cd-rom drives is creative (infra) you have problems budy

Subject: [sentinix-list] problems booting from CD
I am having problems booting from the CD on a particular machine. After
making the CD from the ISO, I was able to boot and install on two
machines without any problems. However, I am now wanting to install
Sentinix on my production server and the machine will not boot from the
CD. I can boot using a Win2k CD and Red Hat CD but the Sentinix disk
will not work.
After much frustration I too the Sentinix CD and put it back into the
first machine and it boots just fine there.
I upgraded to the newest release of BIOS Flash for my machine but it has
made no difference.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If there is another way
to install besides using the ISO that would be great as well.
Thanks,
Sam
